2  Epoch 2: New Brain Day

Epoch 2 Total: ~$58-83

Replace the stock 2-in-1 ESC/receiver with a standalone ESC and 6-channel radio system. The stock electronics only have 2 channels—the winch needs channel 3. The T6 transmitter also has speed limiting so the kids can drive without launching the truck into walls.

After this epoch: 6 channels for accessories, speed limiting for safer driving, better throttle control (DEO), winch-ready.

The kids’ job: Learning the new controller, testing speed limiting.

2.2 Q&A

How do I set up speed limiting on the T6?

Hold wheel backward + trigger backward to maximum, power on transmitter, release controls, press 3rd channel button (indicator flashes for programming mode). Adjust throttle endpoint to limit max speed—50% is a good starting point for young kids.

Can I keep the stock motor?

Yes. The MB100 ESC works with the stock motor. The 180 Pro is optional if you want more torque later.
